**) The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) is a non-profit organization of over 700 hair restoration doctors. It was founded in 1992 as the first International society to promote continuing quality improvement and education for professionals in the field of hair restoration surgery. The ISHRS mission is to advance the art and science of hair restoration. Strict criteria are applied for the review of standards and giving of awards. The results are presented to the members at annual international congresses.
