Several decades ago scientists found out that, in general, the hair on the sides and the back of the head is preserved throughout one's entire life. These hairs are genetically programmed to grow one's whole life. And this fact is the basis for the Moser Method: Follicular Unit Graft transplantation provides reliably good, natural results - without any side effects.

The Moser Method
The hair roots that are going to be transplanted are harvested in the back of the head (donor area). Hair usually doesn't grow in single strands but in "bandles" of 2, 3 or 4 hairs. These hairs, along with their accompanying support system (sebaceous glands, erector pilae muscle etc.) form what is now known as the "Follicular Unit" (FU).

From the time the donor hair is removed to the time the follicular unit grafts get transplanted into the recipient area the FUs are stored in a solution. This Storage Solution prohibits Apoptosis - cell death that makes hair fall out a few days after transplantation. The donor strip is carefully dissected - using the dissection microscope - into individual follicular unit micro grafts containing one to four hairs. The bald or thinning areas are carefully prepared for the transplantation: tiny slits are made into the recipient area. In the next step, our hair specialist Dr. Joerg Hugeneck and his team place the FUs into these slits. Finally, a newly developed solution for bioregeneration is sprayed onto the recipient area. This causes the hair to grow back faster and additionally strengthens and vitalizes all hair roots.
